AKANE:OHM have released High Current Shunt Resistor “APS” Series for high current precise measurement circuits in such as automobiles and industrial equipment’s.
As circuits have higher performance, higher power, and higher safety in recent years, the APS Series is ideal for current control and current detection of overcurrent protection circuit in automobiles and industrial equipment’s.
Since the APS series has low resistance, high power rating, and low TCR, it enables more accurate current detection.
As devices have higher performance, higher power, and higher safety in rent years, shunt resistors are also required to have the following performance:
・Lower resistance: power saving of circuit
・Higher power rating: support for higher in-circuit current
・Stabilization: stable current detection over a wide temperature range
Shunt resistors are used for current control, overcurrent detection, and current monitoring.
◎Battery charging: adjustment of charging current (charging current monitoring, overcharging protection)
